Coaching for Those Crossing Borders
For founders, creatives, and global professionals designing courage in moments of reinvention.
There comes a moment when what once worked no longer fits.
You may be outgrowing a role, a city, an identity, or an income ceiling.
You may be building something new — or dismantling something old.
You’re not lost.
You’re standing at a border.
I work with leaders and builders navigating these crossings — helping them design clarity, structure, and courage for what comes next.
Who I Work With
I partner with individuals at inflection points:
🔥 Startup executives and founders navigating scale or reinvention
🚀 Solopreneurs refining aligned, independent paths
🌍 Global professionals crossing geographic or identity borders
🎨 Creatives stepping into leadership or entrepreneurship
🌀 Multi-dimensional thinkers refusing linear careers
My Approach
While my broader coaching practice includes virtual and longer-form reflective work, some sessions also take shape as in-person studio formats in Seoul. In these cases, coaching may extend into symbolic image-making and an AI-assisted reflection print, offering a more tangible way to leave with the language of your crossing.
How We Work Together
My coaching integrates:
• The Co-Active Coaching model
• Positive Intelligence (PQ)
• 16+ years across tech startup leadership, global mobility, and creative practice
But more importantly:
We work through structure.
I use a framework called the BORDER Method™, designed to help you move through transition intentionally.
Together, we explore:
B — Base: Where are you currently rooted?
O — Orientation: What border are you approaching?
R — Rupture: What fears or fractures are surfacing?
D — Design: What needs to be intentionally built next?
E — Embodiment: How do you anchor this shift in action and environment?
R — Return: Who do you become on the other side?
This is not surface motivation.
This is courage engineered through clarity and design.
What sessions may include:
- Clarifying direction at a professional or geographic crossroads
- Breaking through income ceilings or psychological blocks
- Redesigning identity during major transitions
- Converting uncertainty into structured experimentation
- Building aligned systems for momentum
- Reassessing life balance, priorities, and areas that need intentional change
Each engagement is deeply individualized — but grounded in structure.

How We Begin
🌱 Chemistry Session (30 minutes)
A complimentary call to explore fit and direction.
→ Required for anyone who hasn’t worked with me before.
How We Continue
Ongoing Sessions
If we decide to work together beyond the initial sessions, coaching continues with a structure designed to support meaningful progress and real transformation.
6-Session Minimum Commitment
To build real momentum, coaching is offered in a minimum package of six sessions — held either monthly (once a month) or biweekly (twice a month) depending on your pace and needs.
Client-Led Topics
Each session begins with what matters most to you in that moment. Topics may shift from career clarity to personal transitions, creative resistance to boundary-setting — coaching evolves with you.
This structure offers both flexibility and consistency, giving space for deep reflection, forward movement, and real-life integration.
Signature Sessions
In some cases, additional Signature Sessions may be recommended alongside ongoing coaching, when a more focused format would be supportive to the work.

A Note from Jay
I’ve crossed borders — geographic, professional, and internal.
From startup executive to artist.
From Seoul to San Francisco to the Arctic and back.
I know what it feels like to dismantle certainty and build something without reference.
This work is not about comfort.
It’s about courage — built deliberately.
If that resonates, begin with a conversation.
